Divine Dog Pet Grooming Terms and Conditions - BY BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Please read to avoid additional charges. 

1. Matting

     1. At Divine Dogs Pet Grooming I do not demat matted hair on dogs as this can cause pain and discomfort. Your pet's happiness and welfare is of utmost importance to me. I can take you through the most comfortable options for your pet during check in.
     2. Divine Dogs Pet Grooming accepts no responsibility for any vet fees of health issues (such as skin sores) that are exposed when clipping off a matted coat. Pet owners will be required to sign a matting form if their dogs coat is severely matted.
     3. An additional charge of £10 may be applicable if a full shave down is required as a result of matting. 

2. Pet health

     1. To help us give your dog the best experience possible, we would like to ask you to identify any ongoing or new health conditions at point of drop off so I can make your dog as comfortable as possible.
     2. Divine Dogs Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse service for certain health conditions, for example if they have an open wound.
     3. If your dog has had or has been exposed to kennel cough, they must not attend their appointment no less than 14 days after the last cough. 

3. Veterinary care

     1. We endeavour to provide the best service possible, however in the rare case of an accident, the pet owner agrees for Divine Dogs Pet Grooming to transport their dog to the nearest vet for treatment if required. 
     2. The pet owner also agrees to pay any and all fees that are not covered by our insurance (pre existing conditions etc).

4. Payment

     1. Cash or card payment is required upon collection of the pet. Payment cannot be made via bank transfer. Payment cannot be made at a later date.

5. Late pick up/ drop off

     1. You will have a 15 minute lateness period at the beginning of the groom. Any more than 15 minutes late will result in the groom needing to be rescheduled and 50% groom fee charged
     2. Once you have been alerted that the groom is complete, you will have 30 minutes to collect your dog. After this time, a £5 per 15 minute fee will be charged

6. Cancellations

     1. Please note we require 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Cancellations after this time will result in a 50% charge of the total groom cost. 
     2. If an appointment is missed (no show for groom without prior notice) the full groom price will be applicable and will need to be paid before a new appointment can be made. I will also require a £30 non refundable deposit for your next appointment. The £30 will be taken off the final cost of groom on the day of the appointment. If the appointment is missed again the £30 will not be refunded.
     3. If two or more appointments are missed the full cost of the groom will be required at the time of booking and will not be refunded should the appointment be missed again. 

7. Parasites

     1. Divine Dogs Pet Grooming reserves the right to decline to groom dogs with fleas. Please treat your dog 48 hours before bringing them into the salon for the welfare of your dog and other dogs in our salon. 
     2. If your dog is found to have fleas at drop off we may have to reschedule your appointment. If your dog is found to have fleas once being groomed, the groom will be completed (flea shampoo used) however the pet owner will be charged £15 for the time and cost of disinfecting the salon.
     3. Divine Dogs Pet Grooming will remove ticks free of charge if found during the groom.

8. Pregnancy and seasons

     1. Please let us know if there is a chance that your dog is in season or pregnant as Divine Dogs Pet Grooming is unable to groom dogs under this condition for their welfare. If your dog arrives to the salon in season you will be declined service and required to pay for the appointment.
     2. For dogs that have been in season they need to wait 2 weeks after the bleeding has stopped, as this is the period where they are ready to mate and still in season. 
     3. Pregnant girls will need to wait until puppies are weaned, usually around 5-7 weeks before they are allowed in the grooming facility. 

9.  Photos and social media

     1. I love all your dogs and love to take pictures of them to show off my skills. Divine Dogs Pet Grooming may use pictures of your dog on social media pages such as but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. Please let me know at drop off if you do not wish for your dog to be photographed. 

10. Slander

     1. Under the malicious communications act 1998 section 1, Divine Dogs Pet Grooming will not accept or tolerate any slander, malicious falsehood or defamation via social media outlets relating to a groom due to coats that have not been maintained at home (matted coat), or miscommunication. If you are unhappy, please contact us immediately and we will try our best to resolve the issue.

11. Feedback

     1. If there is an issue with your dogs groom you should try to highlight this upon collection of pet. Any reasonable request will be dealt with before pet owner leaves the salon.
     2. Any issues after the groom must be reported to Divine Dogs Pet Grooming within 48 hours of the groom, I will not be held accountable for any problems raised after this time.

12. Grooming schedules

     1. All dogs groomed by Divine Dogs Pet Grooming must be on a maximum of an 8 weekly grooming schedule. I will advise you on the best schedule for your dog which is usually between 4-8 weeks. I am unable to accept dogs whom go longer than 8 weeks between grooms due to wear and tear on my equipment, and not being able to form a bond with your dog.
     2. Regular clients who pre-book appointments will be given priority when booking appointments.
     3. It is the pet owners responsibility to maintain their dogs coat between groom appointments. If you opt for a longer hairstyle this will require more frequent groom appointments and daily at home line brushing. I am more than happy to give you a tutorial on how to correctly brush so we can avoid needing to shave. 

13. Pricing

     1. All prices listed on Divine Dogs Pet Grooming website are an estimate, and are based on the assumption that the dogs coat is in good condition. 
     2. These prices may vary based on, but not limited to:
               1. Coat condition
               2. Dog behaviour
               3. Weight of pet - overweight or obese pets are more difficult to groom
               4. Fleas/ parasites
               5. Dog larger than average breed size
     3. All prices are non negotiable

14. Aggressive dogs

     1. Divine Dogs Pet Grooming reserves the right to decline services if your dog is aggressive for any aspect of grooming. If the groom is cancelled due to dog aggression the full cost of groom will need to be paid.
     2. Should your dog bite any member of staff who is grooming said dog, the groom will be stopped immediately and future services will be discontinued. The full cost of groom will need to be paid even if the whole groom has not been carried out.
